Moisture-Retaining Tips for Severely Dry Skin to Survive the Office!
I have extremely dry skin, so when I sit in an office with the air conditioner or heater running all day, my face gets so dry it feels like it's going to tear.
So, to prevent moisture loss, I created my own small but sure daily hydration routine and practice it every day.
The most basic, yet surprisingly difficult to stick to, thing is consistently drinking more than 2 liters of lukewarm plain water or barley tea every day.
Because coffee and green tea are said to actually strip the skin of moisture due to their diuretic effect, I drink just one cup in the morning and make sure to fill the rest with plain water.
Since I developed a habit of drinking water, I go to the bathroom more often, but I can definitely feel that the tightness deep within my skin is much less than before.
Also, always keep a highly moisturizing oil mist on your desk and spray it generously on your face just before you feel dryness.
Mists made entirely of water take moisture away from the skin as they evaporate, so it is best to shake a product that has a slight oil layer mixed in before use.
Lastly, since the area around my mouth tends to dry out and turn white when I brush my teeth after lunch, I always gently pat a highly moisturizing multi-balm around my mouth to apply a thin coating.
It isn't an expensive procedure, so if you are worried about dry skin, please make sure to start today by filling your tumbler with water and drinking it.
