Is it normal for it to look worse after the extraction? Am I the only one who was surprised?
I recently had acne extracted for the first time.
Honestly, I thought my skin would become clear right away after getting it.
I thought it would naturally look better than before since I cleared out the clogged pores and got rid of the breakouts.
But when I actually received it, my face looked even more red and blotchy, so I was momentarily flustered.
Especially on my cheeks and chin, the spots where I squeezed the pimples remained red, so every time I looked in the mirror, I wondered, "Is this really okay?"
The person who took care of me said it would subside in a few days, but since I have almost no experience with extractions, I couldn't tell if it was a normal reaction or not.
I'm also worried that I might accidentally mess with it and leave a scar.
Right now, I am trying not to touch my hands as much as possible and am only applying regenerating cream.
I don't even want to wear makeup, but I have to go to work, so I apply just a very thin layer, and I'm being careful not to rub it when cleansing.
By the way, how long is it okay for redness to last for a few days after extraction?
Some people see it fall out in a day or two, while others say it lasts for nearly a week. I'm wondering if it varies depending on skin type.
For those of you who get extractions frequently, how do you care for your skin afterward?
Please also let me know if there is anything else I absolutely need to do besides the regenerating cream.
I'm debating whether or not to get it again next time 😭
