My skin tends to be sensitive, so I keep it as simple as possible.
My skin tends to be sensitive, so applying too many different products actually makes it worse. ㅠㅠ So, for a while, I was like a cosmetics nomad, constantly switching between different things, but what I eventually settled on was 'managing my skin simply.'
First of all, I don't use multiple new products at once. I once got greedy and changed everything, and I had a hard time figuring out why it broke down, lol. So now, I tend to add them one by one, slowly.
I keep my basic skincare routine to a minimum. I only apply toner, a hydrating serum, and a cream, and when my skin condition isn't good, I use only soothing products. I find it much more comfortable than needlessly layering multiple functional products.
And I really don't exfoliate often. I used to do it frequently because I wanted my skin texture to look good, but it felt like it actually just weakened my skin barrier. Now, I only do it occasionally when my skin is in good condition.
I realized belatedly that when it comes to skin, doing less is more important than doing more, haha. For those with sensitive skin like mine, I think it is really important not to be too greedy.
