I have dry skin, so I tend to go all-in on moisturizing.

I have really dry skin, so I tend to be obsessed with moisturizing care lol. Since my skin immediately feels tight and flaky if I let my guard down even a little, hydration is the most important thing for me.
First of all, I make sure to wash my face as gently as possible. I absolutely never use hot water and tend to wash lightly with lukewarm water. I used to think hot water felt refreshing, but it turns out it's not very good for the skin.
I also make sure to apply my basic skincare products within 3 minutes of washing my face. It is really important to me to moisturize immediately before my skin dries out. I tend to replenish moisture with a toner first, and then apply a generous amount of cream.
And at night, I sometimes apply a sleeping pack or cream one more time. I definitely noticed a difference in how tight my skin felt when I woke up in the morning, haha.
Since dry skin takes a long time to recover once it dries out, I think the answer is to manage it proactively. I found that my skin condition stays quite stable just by moisturizing well, rather than relying on fancy treatments.
