I think the key to skincare is ultimately consistency.
What I've been realizing lately is that skin seems to stabilize gradually with consistent care, rather than improving dramatically in a short period. In the past, I tried a lot of different things because I wanted to see quick results, but my thinking has changed a bit now.
First of all, I make sure to stick to just these three things: cleansing, moisturizing, and sunscreen. No matter how tired I am, I wash my face before going to bed, and I make sure to apply at least the bare minimum of basic skincare.
I've also realized that dietary habits are surprisingly important. I can feel the difference in my skin the next day when I eat a lot of flour-based foods or late-night snacks, so I try to control it as much as possible. Of course, it's not perfect, though.
I think exercise helps my skin too. My skin tone seems to look a little clearer after sweating, so I try to go for even just a light walk.
Ultimately, I think good skin isn't achieved overnight, but is the result of accumulated lifestyle habits. So, I plan to take my time and manage it slowly without rushing.
