I am keeping a record of my skin to find a direction for my care.
I was always curious why my skin would get better and then worse, but I realized I didn't really know the cause. So, a few months ago, I started keeping a simple record of my skin.
It’s nothing fancy; I just jot down my skin condition for the day in a notepad. For instance, I simply record things like whether my skin was very dry, if I had breakouts, or if there was any redness. I also occasionally write down what I ate or how much sleep I got.
As I kept doing this, I started to see a pattern lol. Whenever I didn't get enough sleep, my skin tone would immediately become dull, and the day after eating a lot of flour, my jaw area would often become sensitive.
Thanks to this, I’ve started adjusting my lifestyle habits before needlessly looking for expensive products. In fact, I’m realizing that while external care is important for skin, my physical condition has a significant impact as well.
I thought keeping a skin log would be a hassle, but it's surprisingly fun. Now that I've developed a habit of looking back on how my skin performed today, I feel like my skincare direction has become a bit clearer.
