I don't think having dehydrated skin means you should absolutely never use oil products.
I have a picky skin type that is oily on the surface but tight underneath, so I did some research.
Since I was writing this anyway, I decided to summarize it because I was curious about it.
First, you need to check the ingredients. It is recommended to avoid heavy oils that contain many pore-clogging ingredients (such as coconut oil and shea butter). Instead, light oils that are suitable for combination skin, have small particles, and do not clog pores—such as jojoba oil, squalane, and rosehip oil—are recommended.
And you must absolutely never pour oil directly onto your face like you would apply cream. Try mixing just 1 to 2 drops of oil into your moisturizer at the last step of your skincare routine. Please don't use too much.
If used incorrectly, it can clog pores and cause breakouts, but if used properly, it can be a miracle cheat code for tackling inner dryness, so I am sharing this for those with the same skin type as me.
