Today's worst skin condition—oily on the outside and dry to the core!
Today, my face feels like it is cracking and peeling like a parched desert. Even though I put a lot of effort into my skincare routine this morning, applying multiple layers to make it look solid, after a little while, I started to feel severe tightness deep inside.
I think the moisture in my skin evaporated quickly because I was exposed to the indoor air conditioner's wind directly on my face all day. When I looked in the mirror, the foundation I had carefully applied around my nose and mouth had caked on white, so I was really embarrassed to see it.
I tried touching up my makeup by spraying a generous amount of mist and patting on cushion foundation, but it actually highlighted the dead skin cells even more, making my skin look very messy. In the end, I gave up on fixing my makeup nicely and am just continuously pumping the large-capacity hydrating mist I keep nearby onto my face every hour. It is tormenting me because this unpleasant feeling—typical of dehydrated oily skin where the surface is shiny with oil but the inside feels like it’s tearing apart—is particularly severe today.
When I get home today, I think I need to gently remove my base makeup right away, apply a really thick layer of a super moisturizing sleeping mask, and go to sleep. Since my skin condition fluctuates so wildly every day depending on the indoor and outdoor environment, I have absolutely no idea how to adjust my basic skincare products.
Please let me know if you have any great skincare tips to lock in moisture on a day like today, when the skin is oily on the outside but dry underneath.
