It's more comfortable not to wear makeup when my skin isn't in good condition.
In the past, I used to try to cover up my skin with makeup no matter what, but these days I think it is actually better to let it rest on days when it is sensitive.
I felt like trying to cover it up thickly for no reason made it feel more stuffy and worsened my skin troubles.
Lately, on days when my skin condition isn't good, I just apply sunscreen and try to go around as lightly as possible.
I was worried at first, but perhaps because the burden on my skin was reduced, it feels like the recovery is faster.
And when I get home, I wash my face right away and focus on moisturizing.
I am realizing once again that basic care is the most important thing, rather than needlessly layering on this and that.
It seems the saying that skin needs time to rest is true, too.
These days, I am paying more attention to managing my health rather than forcing myself to hide it.
