My skin has become very sensitive lately due to internal dryness.
Lately, I've been worried because my skin looks fine on the surface, but it feels incredibly tight deep inside. Even if I feel like I've applied my basic skincare thoroughly in the morning, my skin becomes dry by the afternoon, and my makeup seems to cake. The tightness is particularly severe around my cheeks and mouth, to the point where it is uncomfortable even when I smile. So these days, I've been trying to focus on hydration by applying moisturizing ampoules or creams multiple times, but I feel frustrated because I don't see as much improvement as I expected.
I used to think that controlling oil was enough, but now I realize that managing inner hydration is much more important. It is difficult to control the amount of product I use because applying too much makes my skin feel stuffy and seems to trigger breakouts. Recently, I have turned on the humidifier again and am trying to drink more water, but my skin doesn't seem to be improving as immediately as I expected.
For those of you who suffer from severe internal dryness like me, how do you manage it? Recommendations for ampoules or creams are welcome, and I'm also curious about lifestyle tips. I hear a lot about how important skin barrier care is, so please share any methods you've actually found effective!
