Acute Skin Trouble and Redness Soothing Routine

Strangely enough, whenever I have an important appointment coming up, a large pimple always pops up on my face or my skin turns bright red and breaks out. This is the 24-hour emergency treatment method I use in such situations.

 

Stop applying makeup immediately: Applying a thick layer of concealer to cover up breakouts will forcibly clog your pores and worsen the condition. Please compromise with a tone-up sunscreen for the next few days.

 

Applying a cooling 'toner pack': Generously soak a cotton pad with a thin toner containing soothing ingredients (such as Houttuynia cordata, Centella asiatica, or tea tree oil) and place it in the refrigerator for about 5 minutes. Place the chilled cotton pad on the affected area for 10 minutes to completely reduce the heat sensation.

 

Using ointment: For painful, purulent pimples, instead of cosmetics, it is best to apply an over-the-counter acne ointment (such as Cure Acne or Acnon) with a cotton swab and avoid touching it.

 

When your skin is irritated, do not try to apply more of it; the fastest shortcut is to let the heat subside and allow it to rest.
