I should also refrain from rubbing my eyes too often for the sake of the skin around them.
I've been increasingly worried about the skin around my eyes lately. I wonder if it's a natural part of aging, but then I started thinking about my bad habits. I have a habit of unconsciously rubbing my eyes whenever they itch or feel tired. I used to rub them without thinking because it felt refreshing, but after looking it up, I realized that the skin around the eyes is so thin and delicate that even such minor irritation can be really damaging. I regretted it so much after reading that constant friction can cause the skin to sag, make fine wrinkles more likely to form, and even lead to pigmentation that makes the area under the eyes look dull. It's already such a sensitive area, and I feel like I've been treating it way too roughly all this time. Sigh...
