During the Maypure blemish consultation, do you check for changes requiring separate treatment before selecting the laser?
I am contacting Maypure because, while researching laser treatments for blemishes, I am wondering if it is correct to view all brown-looking areas in the same way. I do not mean that I have actually experienced any new changes or discomfort; I would like to understand the items that need to be checked through a medical examination before undergoing any cosmetic treatment.
How do you differentiate between pigmentation resembling melasma or freckles and areas requiring separate attention, such as moles, during a Maypure consultation? I am also curious if bringing information such as when the condition appeared, previous photos, and whether there have been changes in size or shape would be helpful. I would prefer to receive an in-person examination rather than having the type determined based solely on photos, and to hear about the scope of treatment possible.
Also, if I notice any areas that have changed in shape or color, could I be advised first whether further verification or other treatments are necessary rather than immediately opting for laser treatment? I would like to receive a clear explanation distinguishing between the scope of cosmetic procedures that Maypure can handle and the reasons for postponing treatment. Please also advise on how best to communicate any changes that need to be reported prior to the consultation appointment.

If you are worried about getting treatments too frequently, ask them to set the interval based on your skin type during the consultation, and also inquire at which session you want to check your progress.
