I am concerned about fine lines around my mouth and dryness. Should I skip exfoliation?

I am concerned about dryness around my mouth and fine lines, so I am looking into skincare routines for the fall. Since I have combination skin, I am wondering if it is okay to use the same care method for every area. First, I would like to get advice on how to adjust my cleansing and moisturizing routine at home.

Could you please check if the fine lines around my mouth are related to dryness? Rather than pinpointing the exact cause, I would like to explain the areas that feel tight and the products I usually use separately. I would like to know if it is acceptable to divide my approach so that I add more moisture to the corners of my mouth while maintaining my existing care for other areas.

If I use exfoliating products, should I stop using them before the consultation? I am also wondering if I should be careful with rubbing during cleansing or massage around the mouth area. As I work in the service industry and frequently move between indoor and outdoor settings, I would appreciate guidance on how to reapply moisturizer while on duty. Instead of starting a new treatment immediately, would it be better to try changing my basic skincare routine first and then re-evaluate my condition? I would also like to hear step-by-step advice on what changes to look out for after the consultation and whether a follow-up visit would be appropriate.
