Should I skip exfoliation before getting a skin booster?
I don't like my makeup going on rough, so I tend to exfoliate about once a week.
However, I am thinking of getting a skin booster starting next month, and I suddenly became curious if it is okay to use an exfoliating product before the procedure.
Usually, my skin doesn't sting or turn red after using it, but I'm worried that it might be unnecessarily making my skin sensitive right before using a skin booster.
Do many people simplify their basic skincare routine and skip exfoliation a few days before booking a skin booster appointment?
I actually thought it would be good to thoroughly exfoliate before going, but the more I looked into it, the more I realized that taking too good care of it isn't necessarily a good thing, haha.
Especially since this is my first time getting a skin booster, I don't know how my skin will react, so I want to go in as normal a condition as possible.
Just as I avoid using new cosmetics before a procedure, would it be better to take a break from my usual exfoliating products for a while?
Also, I am curious if you prefer to wait until your skin naturally stabilizes rather than removing any flaky skin immediately after receiving a skin booster.
If there are any of you who, like me, used to exfoliate regularly before starting a skin booster, please let me know how many days you took a break before and after.
I'm getting this just to improve my skin texture, but I'm worried that if I get too greedy and try this and that, I might actually irritate my skin instead haha.
