For those who have gotten lip fillers, do you recommend them?

I'm looking into getting lip fillers these days.
It doesn't end with just one filler session. I'm a bit worried because I saw comments saying that a touch-up is needed and that there is a strong foreign body sensation.
I thought of fillers as something lighthearted, and since many people around me get them, I wasn't feeling too hesitant, but now I'm having second thoughts.
I'm also not sure if I need to keep getting touch-ups.
My lips are on the thinner side, so people who have gotten fillers look so pretty to me.
