I have a habit of clenching my teeth, so I'm thinking of getting Botox.

I have a habit of clenching my teeth unconsciously while sleeping, so I often wake up in the morning with a stiff and heavy feeling around my jaw. Furthermore, as this habit has persisted for a long time, the muscles below my ears have become increasingly hardened, making my lower jawline look wide and square, which really bothers me. I want to look slimmer... but rather than just for cosmetic purposes, I want to relax the tension in my jaw and, as a bonus, regain my soft facial contours! I am planning to take this opportunity to get Botox.

I am wondering if Botox can be effective even in cases like mine, where the protrusion is caused by sleeping habits. It is not for purely cosmetic purposes. Also, I would like the Botox to work by gently relaxing only the hardened muscles, without causing side effects such as discomfort from weakened chewing ability or an unnatural look at the corners of the mouth.
