I'm planning to get Botox injections in my jaw area.

I have an inquiry regarding Botox. I frequently hear an unpleasant clicking sound in the jaw joint area in front of my ears whenever I chew food or yawn. In particular, there are many days when I wake up in the morning and my entire jaw feels stiff and heavy, as if it is tightly knotted, making it difficult to open my mouth smoothly. It is quite bothersome. I suspect I have an unconscious habit of clenching my teeth, but stretching doesn't help. I understand that Botox reduces the tension in overly tense jaw muscles, right?

Will the stiffness be relieved if I get it? I am hoping for good force control so that my chewing function is not impaired, while just gently releasing the tension in the jaw joint area that has been uncomfortable.

Do you all get Botox periodically when the area around your jaw feels uncomfortable?
