I keep seeing wrinkles around my eyes and between my eyebrows... I would appreciate it if you could explain the effects and duration of Botox in a way that a beginner can understand.

Looking at recent photos, the wrinkles around my eyes and between my eyebrows are so distinct when I smile that I am seriously considering Botox for the first time. I’ve heard a lot of people say that getting Botox can make your facial expressions look unnatural and that the effects wear off quickly, requiring repeated injections, so I’m getting scared right away. My understanding of Botox is that it’s a procedure that slightly relaxes muscles to reduce wrinkles, but I’m not sure how natural the actual effects are or which areas would be safe to start with.

I am also confused about how long the effects of Botox last. Some people say it wears off completely in three months, while others say it lasts for over six months. I don't want my facial expressions to disappear completely; I just want to expect that my expressions remain the same, with slightly fewer wrinkles. Therefore, as someone getting Botox for the first time, I would like to know where it is best to start with a small amount—around the eyes, between the eyebrows, or on the forehead—and what is a realistic estimate of the effect and duration at that stage. Also, if I am satisfied with the results, I would appreciate it if you could explain the basics: how many times a year is acceptable, and is it bad to get it too often?
