I am planning to get Botox for a square jaw. How long does the effect usually last?

Hello. Lately, I tend to use the muscles on one side of my jaw much more than the other when chewing, so when I look in the mirror, the asymmetry is severe and the bulging muscles at the tip of my chin are very clearly visible to the naked eye. I am concerned that if I leave it as is, my face shape will become more square, so I am planning to make an appointment at a clinic to receive some treatment.

I have heard that if you get Botox in the jaw area, the size of the muscles you can feel when clenching your teeth definitely decreases significantly starting about a month later, and your facial lines become slimmer. I am curious how long the effects usually last after getting this injection. I understand that it typically lasts between 3 and 6 months, but does it vary greatly from person to person?

I’ve heard that getting injections before the effects completely wear off helps with muscle reduction, so I’d like to know if there are any daily habits or tips to extend the duration of Botox. I’m also worried about developing resistance if I get them too often, so I’d appreciate some advice on how often you usually revisit the clinic for Botox. Please share your thoughts in the comments so I can take them into consideration!
