I am an office worker in my late 30s concerned about deepening wrinkles between my eyebrows and around my eyes. How often do I get Botox, and what is the pain level?
Hello! I've always just been lurking and reading other members' posts, but lately, my stress has reached its peak every time I look in the mirror, so after much deliberation, I finally mustered the courage to post a question. Up until my 20s, I never worried about wrinkles at all and always thought I was quite confident about my skin's elasticity. However, now that I've definitely entered my late 30s, I can see the wrinkles between my eyebrows and around my eyes have noticeably deepened. I'm not sure if skin aging has really started in earnest, or if it's because of my bad habit of squinting while looking at a monitor or smartphone at work. Before, they were just fine lines that would appear briefly and then disappear when I made an expression, but now, even when I'm just sitting still with a blank expression, a thick vertical line remains clearly visible between my eyebrows, and fine, cat-whisker-like lines have settled distinctly around the corners of my eyes.
Because of these wrinkles, I frequently hear people around me misunderstand and ask if I look tired or angry because something bad happened. As a result, my complexion looks so dull and I feel like I look older than my age, so every time I look in the mirror, I just sigh deeply and am going crazy with frustration. I have tried everything to cover them up with makeup—applying foundation meticulously and diligently using primers that are supposed to be good for wrinkle coverage—but after just a short while, the base makeup settles heavily along the lines of the wrinkles, actually making the wrinkles stand out even more and my skin look patchy. Even when I spent a lot of money on eye creams or firming creams and applied them generously, it seemed completely useless on the wrinkles that have already formed in a deep, slanted shape. I felt that the time had come to seek help from professional cosmetic procedures.
After deciding to get the procedure, I diligently searched online for reviews from various places. I made up my mind to choose Maypure after seeing posts stating that it is a brand with a fixed-price system where all procedure prices are transparently disclosed without any markup, so there is absolutely no need to worry about overtreatment. Since minor procedures like Botox aren't a one-time thing but require consistent, regular maintenance, the cost is a factor that cannot be ignored. However, Maypure offers reasonable prices, so I felt less burdened. Furthermore, with many branches, it is very accessible for visiting after work. There were overwhelmingly positive reviews praising the kindness of the consultation staff and the director, so I felt confident that I could visit with peace of mind and trust, even though it was my first procedure.
Currently, the elasticity of my skin between my eyebrows and around my eyes has dropped significantly, causing fine wrinkles to become deeply ingrained. I am planning to visit Maypure for the first time this weekend to get Botox injections for both my forehead and eyes simultaneously. Since this is my first time ever getting an injection, I am nervous and have many questions! Are there any members here who have received Botox at Maypure for expression lines or deepening wrinkles around the eyes and between the eyebrows, just like me? I am worried that even with the application of numbing cream, the pain might be unbearable. I am also really curious about the specific frequency of visits and when the effects typically appear to maintain natural wrinkle improvement for a long time. I would be truly grateful if those of you who have already experienced this could generously share your valuable advice or tips in the comments. Please take care of your health and I wish you all beautiful skin!
