Has anyone escaped being skeletal after getting fillers? Is there anyone you would recommend this to?
Last week, when I met a friend I hadn't seen in a while, the moment she saw my face, she asked, "Is something bothering you lately? Why do you look like a skeleton?" It felt like I had been hit hard on the head. When I got home and looked in the bathroom mirror under the light, I realized that all the weight I had lost on my diet had just squished down the sides of my cheeks, right below my cheekbones, leaving my face completely bumpy and uneven like a peanut. I realized that the problem isn't my bone structure, but rather a loss of volume causing shadows, so it's a stage that absolutely cannot be fixed with cosmetics. In a hurry, I did some research online and found that getting a little filler to smooth out the lines is the most cost-effective option for this kind of situation. However, I'm also really nervous because of the urban legends that if fillers are injected incorrectly, they spread out to the sides and make your face look bigger. Has anyone else managed to escape their "skeleton" look by getting natural-looking fillers for sunken cheeks like me? How many cc should I usually get to ensure a natural look without looking too puffy?
