My lips are on the thinner side, so I'm considering lip fillers.

I've always been self-conscious about having thin lips, so I've been constantly debating whether or not to get lip fillers. Especially from the side, my lips look almost non-existent, so I often feel disappointed because even when I apply lip products, the volume doesn't come through as well as I'd hoped.

However, I do not want lips that are too thick or unnatural; I just want them to be slightly fuller than they are now so that they hold their shape nicely when I wear lip makeup. So, if I were to get fillers, I am wondering if it would be better to start with a smaller amount rather than a large one from the beginning.

I'm worried because I've seen a lot of stories saying that lip fillers cause quite a bit of bruising or swelling. Is it usually very noticeable on the day of the procedure or the next day? Since it would be difficult if the swelling were too severe because of my job, I would also like to know how much time I should leave before coming back.

I am also curious if there is a significant difference in results between adding volume only to the center of the lips and adding volume to the entire lip. Would it be helpful to show a photo of the lip shape I want during the consultation?
