My cheekbone area got bigger after getting square jaw Botox.
I have attached a photo; as you can see, my square jaw has shrunk, but the upper part, where the muscles didn't decrease, has widened. I even feel the muscles under my cheekbones tensing up when I eat. I've heard this isn't a side effect but rather due to compensatory muscles. Has anyone else experienced their muscles under their cheekbones growing larger like mine after getting square jaw Botox? It is uncomfortable when I open my mouth because the muscles above my square jaw have enlarged too much as a compensatory reaction. Should I get Botox on the upper jaw as well after getting the square jaw? I saw online that there are others with the same concern regarding square jaw compensatory muscles, but I haven't seen any posts explaining how to resolve it. My face shape has changed; what would be the best course of action?
