With lip fillers, is it possible to correct the lip line naturally rather than just adding volume?
I've become interested in lip fillers lately and have been looking into various options, but there are more things to consider than I thought, haha.
I don't want to make my lips plump or add noticeable volume. I just want to maintain my current lip shape as much as possible, make the blurry lip lines a little more defined, and balance the left and right sides naturally.
I am particularly bothered by the fact that my upper lip line looks slightly asymmetrical. It is somewhat corrected when I shape it with a lip liner, but the original shape shows through again when I remove my makeup.
So I am thinking of getting a consultation for lip fillers at Maypure Mia branch.
However, since most people think of lip fillers as a procedure to add volume first, I am wondering if satisfactory results can be achieved in a case like mine, where I want to keep the lip size almost the same and just delicately refine the shape.
Also, asymmetry that is not very noticeable when at rest can become more prominent when smiling or speaking. I would like to know if, during the consultation, you determine the treatment area by examining not only the frontal view but also smiling expressions and lip movements.
Are the procedure methods or injection locations different for defining lip lines compared to actually adding volume to the lips? I'm worried that if I only try to refine the lines, my entire lips might end up looking too thick or artificial.
And just because the left and right sides are different, I don't think correcting them with fillers is necessarily the right answer. If the difference is due to the natural movement of the muscles around the mouth or the facial structure, the scope of improvement with fillers would likely be limited, wouldn't it?
For someone receiving the procedure for the first time, I am curious about the initial dosage to consider and whether it is possible to inject a small amount first and then adjust it while monitoring the results. I think I would prefer a natural result, even if it is slightly less than ideal, rather than filling it in excessively.
I would also like to know about post-procedure care in advance. I’ve heard that the lips are prone to swelling and bruising because the skin is thin and moves frequently. When can I usually see the final shape? I am also wondering if it might appear asymmetrical as the swelling subsides.
I would like to know what symptoms I should be aware of, such as the filler clumping or changes in lip color, and when I can eat or use lipstick after the procedure.
Above all, I am wondering if it would be helpful to prepare a photo of the lips I want for the initial consultation. I also think it might be more accurate to specifically explain the parts of my lips that I am concerned about, rather than trying to copy someone else's lips exactly.
Has anyone received a lip filler consultation or procedure at Maypure Mia Branch?
I am curious to hear the experiences of those who have had their lip lines or asymmetry naturally improved without significantly increasing volume. I would appreciate it if you could let me know if it is okay to just have a consultation first and then decide on the procedure after careful consideration, and also what the actual consultation atmosphere was like!
