Does the skin really fill in as much as the cost of the acne scar treatment suggests?

The pitted scars I sustained from carelessly squeezing acne during my school days haven't disappeared even after becoming an adult, leaving me with a lifelong complex. Because these scars can't be covered even with makeup, I finally decided to bite the bullet and went for a consultation at a clinic to get acne scar treatment. However, the overall cost of the treatment is steeper than I expected, so I can't bring myself to pay right away. I was told that I need at least five sessions to see results, but I have doubts about whether the skin will really fill in noticeably just to justify the high price. I am also worried about whether my skin might become more sensitive or if the redness will last a long time after the procedure. Like Fraxel or...

Are there any of you who have consistently received procedures like subcision and found your skin to have become truly smooth? Your honest answers would be a great help in my decision. I don't expect to have porcelain skin, but I would be happy if my scars became just a little shallower.
