Can I expect the acne scar treatment to be effective for the stress caused by pockmarks?
The blemishes I mindlessly squeezed with my hands during puberty eventually left deep, pitted marks on both cheeks, becoming a lifelong regret. I assumed they would naturally fill out as I became an adult, but I was completely mistaken. When I stand in bright lights or sunlight, the uneven texture of my skin is so starkly visible that it is driving me to the brink of social phobia.
I am looking into laser treatment out of desperation. If I complete the required number of sessions, can someone with deep indentations like mine see definite results from the acne scar treatment? I am scared to begin with because I’ve heard rumors that the pain is tremendous, as the procedure involves scraping away skin or stimulating new tissue growth from within. However, I am prepared to endure any pain if it means my scars can fade even a little.
I desperately need honest reviews from those who have endured the excruciating pain of acne scar treatments like Fraxel or Subcision to see them through to the end. I would be perfectly happy if my skin became smooth enough to be covered to some extent with makeup. Please share your real experiences with acne scar treatments!
