How many sessions are recommended for acne scar treatment?

Back in my school days, whenever I was stressed, I would frantically pick at the blemishes on my face with pens or dirty hands, and now my face is completely gouged out like the surface of the moon ㅠㅠ No matter how much primer I layer on to try and cover it up with makeup, you can still see all the bumps when I stand under the light, and I'm seriously at the point of developing social anxiety lol. I feel like I can't go on like this, so I'm looking into things like Fraxel or PicoFraxel, but I'm totally terrified because there are so many horror stories about how incredibly painful it is ㅠㅠ Since the scars are deep, I don't think one or two sessions will be nearly enough, so I'm looking for a package of at least 5 sessions or more.
