장벽 무너졌을 때 스킨만 발라도 따갑다는 말 진짜 공감돼요 ㅠㅠ 그 시기 지나본 사람만 그 예민함 알죠.
I'm recommending my all-time favorite Panthenol Barrier Cream, which I've already finished three tubes of.
I'm sure you've all been "skincare nomads" at least once, right? I've spent so much money on cosmetics that there isn't a single brand I haven't tried, but I've finally found a barrier cream worth settling on, so I'm leaving a review. Haha. In the past, my skin barrier completely collapsed because I exfoliated too aggressively. Back then, my face would sting and burn even just from applying toner, and I was really depressed. ㅠㅠ
The ingredient the dermatologist recommended back then was panthenol. I heard that when panthenol is absorbed into the skin, it transforms into Vitamin B5 and plays a role in strengthening and regenerating the skin barrier. So, while looking for a cream with a high panthenol content, I happened to buy this product, and I’ve already scraped every last bit out of my third jar haha. What I liked most was its spreadability and texture. Usually, when you think of a barrier cream, it feels thick like an ointment and has a heavy, stuffy feeling that clogs pores, right? But this product applies smoothly like whipped cream and absorbs quickly, so it doesn't pill at all even when applied before makeup.
If I were to give you a tip on how to get 200% out of this cream, on days when my skin is particularly red and sensitive, I apply a thick layer to my face like a sleeping mask before bed. Then, when I wash my face the next morning, the texture of my skin feels different right to the touch. I have experienced several times that my redness subsides significantly and breakouts that were about to pop up disappear completely. Also, when I feel extreme dryness due to winter weather or exposure to heater air, if I mix just one drop of the jojoba oil I usually use, rub it between my palms, and apply it to my entire face as if enveloping it, I can experience a level of hydration that rivals any expensive nourishing cream.
The price is also excellent value for money, as it is in the 20,000 won range if you buy it at road shops or during Olive Young sales. I have tried many expensive department store creams, but I found that ultimately, the ingredients that make the skin feel most comfortable are those that stay true to the basics. If you are like me and your skin barrier is compromised, causing redness and breakouts from even minor irritation, or if your makeup always looks cakey due to inner dryness, I highly recommend trying a "skincare diet" with a barrier cream focused on panthenol or ceramide. Does anyone have their own holy grail product that they stock up on? Let's share good things together!
