Is it possible to try the melasma laser treatment again?

Hello. I received laser treatment for melasma on the side of my cheek, but I am very worried because it seems to have turned even darker. I initially expected it to fade, but now that the color has deepened and appears to be spreading, I am wondering if it is okay to get the treatment again.

I have read online that pigmentation can temporarily darken after laser treatment, but I have also heard that it can fade over time. If so, I am wondering if it is safe to receive additional treatment in such cases, or if I should monitor my skin condition for a certain period before attempting it again. I would also like to know which laser would be more suitable for a re-treatment, or if there are other treatment methods that can be used in conjunction.
