Is there a specific target group recommended for melasma treatment?

I try my best to apply sunscreen when going out, but I am upset about the patchy pigmentation around my eyes and cheekbones. I tried applying thick layers of concealer to cover it up, but it actually made my skin look heavy and older. I realized that home care alone is not going to work, so I am considering professional treatment for melasma.

However, I’m hesitant to decide on a procedure because I’ve heard that irritating melasma incorrectly can actually make it darker. There are many types available, such as laser toning and Skin Booster combinations, so I’m curious about who would benefit most from this treatment and what skin conditions are best suited for it. Have any of you actually received melasma treatment and seen your pigmentation lighten or your skin tone become clearer overall? If you have had a successful experience with safe melasma treatment without redness or side effects, please share your honest review!
