I have to go to work. How long do the scabs and redness last after the blemish laser treatment? I'm curious about tips for Friday's treatment!

Since becoming pregnant, small freckles and blemishes have appeared on my cheekbones and face, and it is really bothering me. It would be best to get it done during school break, but I want to get it fixed right away, so I am looking into it. However, as a working professional who has to go to work on weekdays, my biggest concern is how my face will look after the procedure. I don't want to look too harsh to my parents or children.
Before visiting a dermatologist, I’d like to ask a few questions to those who have experience with pigment lasers or blemish removal!
First of all, is it inevitable that scabs will form after laser treatment for blemishes? I am curious how many days they usually stay on before falling off. Also, I would like to know if you wear a healing tape like Duoderm while the scabs are on when you go to work, or if you cover them up with sunscreen and light makeup.
Are there many people like me who get it done after work on Friday or over the weekend because of work on weekdays? I am curious if the redness or marks subside enough by the time I go to work on Monday, after the two-day weekend.
I am also curious whether it is safe to simply apply a laser to areas where light, widely spread pigmentation like melasma is mixed with dark blemishes, or if the treatment is performed cautiously over multiple sessions to prevent the melasma from darkening. If there are multiple blemishes, please share any tips you may have on whether they are cleared up in one day or divided into sessions!
