Is it common for the skin to become bumpy or red after laser hair removal?

I was looking at laser hair removal reviews and got a little scared after seeing a photo where the skin had turned slightly red and blotchy.

Sometimes, even if I just shave incorrectly, my skin stings and small red spots pop up.

So I am wondering if it would be okay to get laser hair removal.

I've heard that skin reactions, such as bumps or redness around the pores, can occur immediately after the procedure. Is this relatively common?

It seems difficult for someone receiving laser hair removal for the first time to distinguish whether the skin reaction is a normal, temporary response or if the skin has been over-irritated.

I'm curious if it usually subsides after a few hours, or if it can sometimes last until the next day.

I am likely to get it done on a weekday evening, so I think it would be a bit bothersome if the redness remained noticeably until I went to work the next day.

Is it possible for people with sensitive skin to have the intensity lowered during their first laser hair removal treatment to check their reaction?

I would feel more at ease if I could try it once, and if it works well, we could gradually adjust it starting from the next procedure.

Also, I am wondering if moisturizing alone is sufficient if I experience itching or stinging after the procedure.

I feel like scratching or touching it with my hands might just irritate it more, so I guess it's best not to touch it as much as possible, right? Haha.

Are there any people who were worried about a skin reaction during their first session after laser hair removal, but found their own pattern after a few treatments?

I'm also curious if it turns redder at a similar rate every time, or if the reaction decreases as the episodes pass.

For those of you who have consistently received laser hair removal despite being a bit sensitive to irritation like me, what was it actually like?

Please share your experience. It subsided faster than expected, so was it not something to worry about too much?
