Do you check the type of pigmentation before getting Pico Toning?

Hello. I am planning to consult a dermatologist regarding pigmentation on my face. I am writing to inquire because I read online that treatment methods can vary depending on the type of pigmentation, even if they look similar. To me, they look like simple blemishes, but I am not sure exactly what kind of pigmentation it is. If I am considering Pico Toning, I would like to know if my skin condition and the type of pigmentation are checked beforehand. I would also like to know if Pico Toning is not applicable to all types of pigmentation. I am curious if separate skin diagnostic equipment is used during the consultation in addition to visual inspection, and if alternative methods are recommended if the procedure is not suitable for my skin. It would be helpful for me to make an informed decision before the consultation if a clinic representative could explain whether Pico Toning is performed for a fixed number of sessions without fail, or if the number of sessions or methods are adjusted based on the skin's reaction.
