Hello. Recently, my skin has become extremely dry and rough, so I am writing to inquire about seeking professional help.
I used to not be very sensitive to seasonal changes, but at some point, even after applying and absorbing my skincare products thoroughly, my skin started feeling severely tight right after washing my face. In particular, dead skin cells are prominent around the sides of my nose and cheeks to the point where the skin texture turns white, and when I apply makeup, my foundation cakes or clumps in rounded patches, causing me stress every time I go out.
I am paying special attention to moisturizing at home, such as applying generous amounts of moisturizer or using a face mask every day, but the relief is only temporary, and I don't feel like the tightness deep inside is improving at all. It seems like the so-called 'internal dryness' phenomenon—where the surface looks shiny but the inside is extremely parched—has worsened. I am worried that my skin barrier itself may be significantly compromised.
In this case, I wonder if, in addition to changing the basic skincare products used at home, professional care or procedures (e.g., water glow injections, skin boosters, or moisture barrier care) are needed to replenish moisture from deep within the skin.
I would appreciate it if you could guide me on the home care methods I should prioritize given my current skin condition, as well as recommend any programs available at clinics or aesthetic centers. I know you are busy, but I would appreciate a detailed response.
