I'm worried about hair loss because I'm losing so much hair lately.
Lately, I'm worried because it seems like I'm losing much more hair than before whenever I wash or dry it. I was aware that I was shedding a little bit, but recently, it feels like there is a noticeable increase in the amount of hair found on the floor or in the drain. It really bothers me more on days when I haven't washed my hair for a few days, as it seems to fall out in large quantities all at once.
My hair hasn't suddenly thinned out or to the point where my scalp is visible, but it seems thinner than before, and the crown of my head feels like it's sparse for some reason. I'm worried whether my hair is naturally weakening with age or if this is the onset of hair loss.
I am wondering if simply changing my shampoo or scalp care products might help, and if I suspect hair loss, would it be a good idea to get a scalp examination at a dermatologist first? If anyone has struggled with similar symptoms and started management or treatment, I would also like to know which methods were effective. I want to start managing it proactively because I am worried it might get worse if I neglect it.
