Seeing my friend's face is giving me the urge. Is it normal to be this nervous about a filler procedure?

I went to an alumni gathering over the weekend for the first time in a while, and I was seriously shocked when I saw one friend's face. It didn't look like she'd had any major surgery at all, but the shadows that used to make her look tired had completely vanished, and her face looked strangely taut, just like it did a few years ago. I discreetly asked her, and she said she got a little filler in her cheeks and nasolabial folds. It really didn't look like it was there at all; it was so natural.

When I got home and looked in the mirror, I suddenly felt depressed because my face looked uniquely peanut-shaped with sunken cheeks and prominent wrinkles around my mouth. Since that day, I’ve been scouring plastic surgery apps and forums every night, binge-reading filler reviews, but my fingers just can't bring themselves to press the booking button.

There were actually quite a few posts that sounded like urban legends, claiming that over time the medication spreads sideways and makes your face look bigger, or clumps up inside and feels like a foreign object. Phew.

They say there's nothing better than fillers to restore lost volume, so I feel like I'll eventually end up doing it, but I'm nervous.
