My nasolabial folds have become more pronounced since I entered my 40s. Should I get a consultation for Botox or fillers first?
Hello. I am an office worker in my early 40s. Lately, whenever I look in the mirror, I am concerned because the nasolabial folds around my mouth have become quite distinct. Even when I am expressionless, the shadows at the corners of my mouth are deep, so people around me often tell me I look tired. When I smile, the fine lines around my mouth appear in multiple layers, which bothers me even more. My cheeks also feel noticeably drier and rougher than before; it feels like they are being sucked out right after washing my face in the morning. I suspect that Botox alone might not be enough given how deeply the wrinkles have settled, but I am unsure whether I should get fillers or consider a lifting procedure as well. Should I prioritize consulting about volume-boosting fillers or wrinkle-reducing Botox? Is it common to receive both procedures together? I am also curious about precautions to take for a natural look when getting fillers for the first time in my 40s, the duration of the effects, and the interval between sessions. I would also like to ask about swelling after the procedure and the time it takes to return to my daily routine. The photo is a reference image that looks similar to my current skin condition. I would appreciate your advice on what aspects I should focus on during the consultation!
