My face is completely dry because I slept with the electric blanket turned up high yesterday.
It still feels a bit chilly at night, so I turned the electric blanket up really high before going to sleep yesterday. It was warm, so I slept soundly, but when I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror to wash my face, I looked like a completely dried-out squid. ㅠㅠ There was white flakes of dead skin around my mouth, and every time I smiled, my cheeks felt tight, making me feel like wrinkles were about to form. I hurriedly washed my face, applied the thickest moisturizing cream I could find—like putting on ointment—and slathered it on thickly before getting ready for work. I realized once again this morning that heat is the most dangerous enemy of the skin. Even if it gets cold tonight, I think I'll turn off the electric blanket and just run the humidifier at full blast while I sleep.
