My makeup is all cakey and a mess, so I'm asking about the exfoliation care schedule.
I don't know why my skin looks so dry and dull lately. My face feels really tight after washing it, and no matter how much I apply my basic skincare, it feels like it just sits on the surface. The most annoying thing is that when I do my makeup in the morning, the skin around my nose and between my eyebrows looks patchy and white, causing my foundation to clump up. I try my best to exfoliate at home once or twice a week using peeling gels or scrubs, but the effects are only temporary. I'm just so frustrated wondering if my skin barrier has compromised, or if I'm doing my home care incorrectly.
So, I'm considering visiting Maypure to get some proper exfoliation care from a professional. I've heard that scaling treatments like Aqua Peel or Lara Peel completely remove old sebum and make the skin texture smooth, but how often is it ideal to get these medical exfoliation procedures? I'm worried that getting them too often might actually make my skin sensitive and thinner. My skin is somewhat dehydrated oily, so it has a lot of sebum but is also dry, making it quite tricky.
If I get professional exfoliation at a clinic, will my makeup really apply differently compared to home care? Haha. If there are any of you who get this treatment consistently, please share some tips on how often you go a month and how they provide soothing care afterward!! I'm scared to touch my skin anymore because I'm afraid it will break out if I try to exfoliate on my own at home. ㅠㅠ The road to becoming a skin beauty is truly long and arduous, haha.
