How many basic laser hair removal sessions do I need for hair to stop growing back? I'm curious about the frequency.

It's getting to the season where I get too lazy to shave my underarms and legs, so I'm planning to go to a dermatologist for laser hair removal.
By the way, how many sessions do you usually expect for laser hair removal? I saw on YouTube that you need at least 10 sessions for areas like the upper lip because the hair roots are tough, so I was wondering if it would take that long for the underarms as well.
I'm debating whether signing up for the 5-session package will be a clean finish, or if it would be better to plan for a longer duration of 10 or more sessions from the start. I'm worried about just wasting money if I sign up for an in-between plan.
If anyone has had laser hair removal, please share your reviews! I'm also curious if the quality of the machine matters a lot. Does anyone know?
