My melasma fades once, but then comes back when the seasons change... I would like to know about the effectiveness and treatment frequency of Pico Toning.
I have been receiving toning laser treatments at a dermatology clinic for several years due to melasma and blemishes, but recently I have become interested in Pico Toning as I have been hearing the name frequently. Since it is said to break down pigments into smaller particles than conventional toning, it felt like a more powerful option for improving these issues. However, even after reading various articles, I am confused because the information regarding when the effects of Pico Toning become visible, the treatment frequency, and the duration required to maintain them varies widely.
I have heard that generally, people receive intensive Pico Toning treatments at intervals of 2 to 4 weeks during the first few sessions to gradually lighten their skin tone and reduce melasma and blemishes, and then extend the intervals afterward to continue with maintenance treatments. I have also heard that you can expect a noticeable brightening of the skin tone and less visible melasma after at least 5 sessions. As a working professional, it is difficult for me to visit frequently at intervals of 1 to 2 weeks, but I think I can accumulate about 3 to 5 sessions over the course of a season. I would like to clarify through a consultation what kind of effects I can expect from Pico Toning given my current condition, and how to design the treatment cycle and recommended number of sessions.
