I'm so confused whether the bumpy things on my neck are skin tags or flat warts.
Every time I touch my neck, I feel something bumpy, and I was really confused whether it was a skin tag or a flat wart. When I look in the mirror, they look like small bumps, but since some are flesh-colored and others are slightly brown, it was even harder to tell the difference. I looked it up online and found that both commonly appear on the neck, which actually made me more confused.
I've heard that skin tags look like soft, protruding pieces of flesh, while flat warts often appear as multiple flat bumps; however, to my eyes, they look similar, so I couldn't easily tell the difference. I was also wondering if it's okay to just leave them alone or if I need to treat them quickly.
Has anyone else felt something bumpy on their neck like me and been confused whether it was a skin tag or a flat wart? I'm wondering if there is a way to distinguish them at home, or if a dermatologist can identify them immediately. I've heard that picking at or touching them with my hands could cause them to spread, so I'm afraid to touch them easily.
Please let me know if you have had a similar experience or know how to distinguish them accurately. I've been searching on my own, but there is so much information that it seems to be making me even more confused.
