How can I prevent ingrown hairs and redness after laser hair removal?
Since it is summer, I started getting laser hair removal treatments at a dermatology clinic a while ago so I could comfortably wear shorts and short sleeves. However, after the treatment, I experienced redness and a burning sensation in patches of my skin that lasted until the next day. Furthermore, as time passed, I developed ingrown hairs where new hairs grew into my skin, making my skin bumpy and bothering me.
Even though I try to soothe the skin by frequently applying aloe gel immediately after the procedure as instructed by the clinic, it is difficult to prevent ingrown hairs from forming every time. What kind of care should I follow during laser hair removal to effectively prevent ingrown hairs? Besides moisturizer, I am wondering how many days after the procedure I should wait before using a body scrub to avoid skin irritation.
