It is getting darker day by day. Are there specific characteristics to melasma treatment? How should I approach it?
It seemed to be quiet during the winter, but now that the weather has warmed up, my complexion looks very dull due to the dark spots that have appeared around my cheekbones.
No matter how meticulously I apply sunscreen and whitening essence before going out, I painfully realize the limitations of lightening deeply ingrained pigmentation with home care alone. Even when I try to cover it with concealer, the distinctive dark shadows peek through, making my makeup look thick and my face always appear tired.
I’ve heard so many people say that treating melasma is very tricky and requires a long-term process, so I’m worried even before I start. I’ve also heard that if I handle it incorrectly, the pigment cells could get irritated, potentially causing the skin to turn even darker than before, so I’m being very careful in choosing a clinic.
I am wondering how often I should receive laser toning to see proper results from melasma treatment, and approximately how many sessions I would need to repeat the process to clear up pigmentation without damaging the skin barrier, so that my skin looks clean even without makeup.
If anyone has consistently received melasma treatment and seen their patchy cheekbones brighten up beyond recognition, please reply.
