I want to treat the melasma that has gotten darker over the summer. Please share your feedback.
Perhaps due to spending a lot of time outdoors, pigmentation has suddenly flared up around my cheekbones and under my eyes, so I am seriously considering melasma treatment. I am thinking of visiting a clinic for toning lasers or pigment management before it gets darker, but I am also scared because I’ve heard that it can get worse if handled incorrectly. However, since this isn't a treatment that ends in just one or two sessions, I have a few questions for those who have actually received melasma treatment. How long do the redness, scabs, and swelling last immediately after a laser treatment? I am wondering if it will interfere with going to work on weekdays. Also, compared to regular whitening cosmetics or home care, is the effect of melasma treatment at a dermatology clinic clearly noticeable in terms of fading? I would appreciate your advice on how many laser treatment sessions are typically required to see proper changes in terms of cost-effectiveness.
