Has anyone tried laser hair removal?

My husband has a lot of arm hair, so I've been suggesting he try hair removal for a while, but he keeps hesitating, saying he feels like it would be awkward.

He mentioned that whenever it is time to wear short sleeves, he often covers his arms as if he is self-conscious about it, and that the hair makes him feel even more stifled because he sweats a lot. However, now that he is actually planning to get laser hair removal, he says he is worried about whether it is common for men to remove arm hair and whether it will look natural.

Has anyone had laser arm hair removal done for their husband, boyfriend, or themselves?

I am curious to know how many sessions were required to see results and how much pain was involved. I would also like to know if the results are better for thicker hair, and if the hair grows back exactly the same as before.
