I get breakouts and scars under my chin from shaving. Would laser hair removal be a good option?
Hello, I am a male office worker.
I am a man who is stressed every morning when I shave these days. My beard is very thick and dense, so whether I use a razor or an electric shaver in the morning, red breakouts keep appearing under my chin and on my neck.
Because of the irritation, inflammation developed, and touching it caused dull, discolored scars around my chin, making my face always look messy.
People around me have recommended laser hair removal, saying it would be better for my skin health in situations like this. Since this is my first time getting a dermatological procedure, I would appreciate answers from those with experience regarding whether laser hair removal is truly effective in alleviating shaving irritation or discoloration, and how many sessions are typically needed to make my beard thinner.
