Laser hair removal inquiry

I am writing this post to ask a question regarding laser hair removal.

I have already had laser hair removal on my arms several times, but the hair keeps growing back after a while. When I first started, I thought it would last a long time, but it feels like it slowly grows back every few months. I am wondering if hair removal is supposed to be maintained once a year for care, or if the type of laser or treatment method I received just didn't suit me.

If you happen to know of any laser types that you found to be long-lasting on thick, dark hair like arm hair, please recommend one. There are so many options that I have no idea which one would be right for me. It would be really helpful if those who have actually received treatments multiple times could share their experiences or reviews. Thank you in advance!
