My melasma and blemishes exploded after the summer. Has anyone seen results with melasma treatment at a dermatology clinic?
I thought I was diligently applying sunscreen every time I went out, but as the weather warmed up and I started spending more time outdoors, the pigmentation hidden on the inner cheeks and around the bridge of my nose suddenly surfaced as a dark brown. It feels like the melanin has completely filled not only the surface but deep into the dermis, making my entire face look dirty and sallow, and I feel this is the decisive reason why I look older... Even when I apply tone-up cream or makeup base, the areas where the melasma has settled look unnaturally grayish, making the pigmented areas stand out even more. Rather than trying to forcibly tan the brown marks on the surface, I feel I urgently need care that calms the melanin-producing environment deep within the skin, so I am currently looking into visiting a dermatologist. Has anyone else experienced a noticeable improvement in their skin clarity after suffering from melasma or pigmentation that suddenly darkened due to UV rays?
